	2008.03.06  09.51 Gary Gygax, The Legend of D&D has rolled his final d20 Gary Gygax, Dungeons & Dragons creator, dies MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin (AP) -- Gary Gygax, who co-created the fantasy game Dungeons & Dragons and helped start the role-playing phenomenon, died Tuesday morning at his home in Lake Geneva. He was 69. He had been suffering from health problems for several years, including an abdominal aneurysm, said his wife, Gail Gygax. Gygax and Dave Arneson developed Dungeons & Dragons in 1974 using medieval characters and mythical creatures. The game known for its oddly shaped dice became a hit, particularly among teenage boys, and eventually was turned into video games, books and movies. Gygax always enjoyed hearing from the game's legion of devoted fans, many of whom would stop by the family's home in Lake Geneva, about 55 miles southwest of Milwaukee, his wife said. Despite his declining health, he hosted weekly games of Dungeons & Dragons as recently as January, she said. "It really meant a lot to him to hear from people from over the years about how he helped them become a doctor, a lawyer, a policeman, what he gave them," Gygax said. "He really enjoyed that." Dungeons & Dragons players create fictional characters and carry out their adventures with the help of complicated rules. The quintessential geek pastime, it spawned a wealth of copycat games and later inspired a whole genre of computer games that's still growing in popularity. Funeral arrangements are pending. 	2006.12.21  11.16 Ho, ho, ho Merry Yule to all! Greetings all. Once again time to trek up to North Carolina for the holidays. But I am much more happy this time. It is also my Birthday on December 22nd, yes I am a Winter Solstice baby. I will be trying my hand at some new recipes again. The apple/pear tart and a rack of roast pork. So wish me luck. I will be in NC from Dec 22-26, so i won't be checking my e-mail. And to all have a great Holiday Season and a Happy New Year!!!!!!!!

	2006.11.20  11.37 That time of year again yes boys and girls it's that time of year again. Time for me to make my annual pilgramige to North Carolina to see the family for Thanksgiving. it makes me happy and sad to head up there. On the positive i get to see the family and catch up with them. On the downside i have to deal with the drama and all the gossiping, not to mention the lack of everything in a little redneck town. It brings back those nauseating feelings of dread from highschool,lol! but this year I will be helping with the cooking. I will try my hand at a apple tart, a cheescake and dirty rice ) a throwback to my living in Louisiana) So i will be out of town from Wed Nov 22-26. So i hope everyone has a pleasent holiday * if you are in the U.S. ;-)* I will be back on that Sunday so time to get filled with turkey and stuffing and see if anyone causes a major disater this year or not? 	2006.09.08  09.55 back into the grind... Today is friday yeah! This has been the longest/shortest week ever,lol! After DraginCon work is such a letdown. I have been busy hammering away at DVD's and labels. I'm ready for the weekend. I think I will go see the BODIES exhibit.
